it feels weird making the first post an update post but i promise that it is needed. i've been hard at work starting college, finishing high school, spending time with friends, working the emo'est job on earth, and trying to figure out where my future lies. being able to start college while in my senior year of high school has been a major help towards my future career and academics. i haven't set foot in my high school this year and instead i am taking the decision to dorm at my university, of which has led me to find more friends than i think i ever had through traditional schooling. i also decided to major in political science, even with my passion for graphic design it just didn't seem like a career i could live off of due to several physical disorders discovered at the final quarter of last year. i've also decided to head to chicago after this year of college, going to a different university and ending up hours away from home. my first time experiencing the city was through LC!Chicago back last year and it has stuck in my mind since then.
nowadays, instead of boring biology courses i would have to slog through, i am instead spending time outside the classroom with friends. i've spent countless hours with those who i call closest now doing anything from clubbing to setting up my fish tank with (oh yeah, i have a fish now. his name is london munch, he's a betta.)
i also work at hot topic, a place i never thought i would step in past the age of like, 15. the job has been amazing with the relationships i've made with coworkers but is a double-edged sword considering my boss may be trying to inflict psychic warfare on me. regardless, she isn't getting rid of me quite yet as i've really have done nothing wrong.
as for this site as a whole, i intend to update at least one part of it per week. i think i set my goal a bit too high at the beginning and at when my life was about to change by a crazy amount however i am ready to try and give this a second chance. i still adore lc and i adore the creation of websites (i spend much of my free time making rentrys... the cool kids on the block all do it) and i want to be able to share my love for music in a concise place. thanks for listening to my ramble if you do see this, maybe leave me something in my guestbook.
love and guts, paisey. xx
